Who is "The Melting Mom"? My name is Shayla, and I'm the mom of three wild little boys who are my whole world. We live in a small Indiana town called Bargersville, which is where I hand-pour all of my wax melts.  I dove into wax melts as a way to relax and quickly became hooked. I have spent the last ten years in the medical field and recently decided to step away to be more present for my children and to get my business off the ground. I have worked hard to perfect my craft and find only the finest wax and fragrance oils. I prepare in small batches to ensure high quality products every time, which also means no two pours will ever be the same so you may see color variations among each fragrance (the quality and percentage of the fragrance will always be the same though!). I also chose to work with 100% soy wax because I want to feel good with the product I'm offering. Sure, paraffin wax is the industry standard and can make melts more appealing to the eye (check out our FAQs for further detail on this), but I refuse to use a known carcinogen in my product. If I wouldn't use it in my own home with my own pets and children, I'm not going to put it in someone else's. I am so excited to share this journey with you and watch The Melting Mom continue to grow!
